The mission of the New Jersey Stop Wal-Mart Coalition is to stop Wal-Mart from using its corporate power to unilaterally change our business culture and society. We believe the people and not a single corporation should decide the future of our state. The coalition will share information, coordinate events, and mobilize people to take action and make an informed decision about the effects of Wal-Mart on human rights, our environment, society, and our communities.

We are a group of New Jersey residents organized to stop the growth of Wal-Mart in our state. On this site you will find resources for local groups that are fighting Wal-Mart growth near them. You will also find links to news items concerning Wal-Mart in New Jersey. We will also keep you up to date about the current state legislation on docket to control the growth of all big box stores.
